Title European child reporters: a trip through cultural diversity

Summary

This project has been put into place to make students aware of their own cultural identity and that of their European neighbours.
The principle objective is to develop European citizen awareness. The students will have the opportunity to discover the way of life, the geographic homeland and history and traditions of their partners.
They will be able to exchange class work, letters and emails to learn about the daily habits and happenings of their partners.
The students will be placed in the situation to research, document and to investigate using different supports and means of technology so that they can further advance them during the project.
The final product will be a comic strip made up and designed by the students which will be distributed to each participant. Each page will be built around one of the themes specified in the course curriculum. It will put into place a small European reporter of which their adventures across Europe will allow the students to re-invest the fruits of their work in the production of the comic strip.
To learn differently in a multicultural setting will allow students motivation to increase, to acquire a greater larger mastery, to give purpose to the learning of a living language and to diversify the teaching team.
This project will allow the school to be open about their environment.
