The call for applications is open and will take place from 2 February – 9 April 2009.

Before applying for a study visit, please read carefully the study visits programme announcement,
You must complete the online application form. Only applications submitted on-line will be considered eligible!
On successful submission of your application you will get a group number (Code), a username and a password. You will also receive them by email. Please keep those details for future reference. They will allow you to revisit your application form and modify it if necessary.
When you finalise your application, you must print the completed application form, sign it and send it to your National Agency.
The personal information provided in your application is treated as confidential and kept secure. It may be used for evaluating the LLP programme. Data protection regulations will be respected (Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000).

The persons eligible for participation in the visits comprise educational staff involved in management, assessment, training and counselling. The following categories of personnel are particularly targeted:

  • directors of education and vocational training institutions, centres or providers;
  • directors of guidance centres;
  • directors of validation or accreditation centres;
  • educational and vocational training inspectors;
  • head teachers, teacher trainers;
  • heads of departments;
  • human resource managers;
  • owners/managers of SMEs;
  • pedagogical or guidance advisers;
  • representatives of chambers of commerce/ industry/crafts;
  • representatives of education and training networks and associations;
  • representatives of educational services, labour offices or guidance centres;
  • representatives of employers’ organisations;
  • representatives of local, regional and national authorities;
  • representatives of trade unions;
  • researchers.

The grant awarded covers 

  • Travel costs to and from the country where the visit is organised 

  • Subsistence costs 

The average grant is around 1.200 Euro but this amount varies, depending  on travel expenditure and the cost of living in the visited country.
